The Affair Begins
And so the affair with my 350Z begins. Having survived the Tsunami in Thialand last Boxing Day, I decided to live my life for today. Not save for that rainy day. You just don't know what tomorrow will bring. You may not see that rainy day. I recently visited the USA for the first time, Louiseville KY and Gatlinburg in the Smokies. While travelling the extensive Inter States I saw some awesome cars, but a 350Z was to become the apple of my eye. Having test drove one back in the UK(twice) my mind was set on having one. My Z is on order from the dealers and arrives later this month. In the UK we can only order standard Zs with GT pack upgrade (Leather seats and Bose audio) but that will do me for a start. I thank this forum for the threads on some possible issues, and have had paint protection arranged before the car leaves the dealers.
It is a Silver Coupe and should arrive at the dealers today, ready for them to prepare it to go! I was really shocked at the fuel prices in the US, petrol is about $8.5 (£5) a gallon here, also cars are much more expensive to buy $51000 (£30000). I managed to talk the dealer into free mats front and rear, first service, and a tank of fuel, cost about $200 to fill her up. So I shall enjoy the Z as it is for a while, although I love the Coupe shape I think my first Mod will be a body kit or Lambo doors.
Yes, fuel is comparatively cheap in the US, so that makes a whole lot of other things cheaper aswell. The cars over there are amazing, how much does a brand spanking new Z cost in the US?
