Default New owner. 1st post. Just basic questions

So I just bought my 05' 350z (automatic/enthusiast/lemans sunset) last Thursday and am already flipping out with all the things I would like to do and all the possibilies of what I can do not to mention I can't stop staring at it. So any answers/advice is welcomed.

1.) I'm planning on adding a CAI and Exhaust pretty soon. I originally wanted to stay Nismo on everything, but have heard that the Stillen Exhaust is much better. Any advice?

2.) Is there anywhere to find where to buy the same style of gauges that are already in the triple gauge pod for other things such as boost, egt, or air/fuel ratio, ect.?

3.) All I've found that I like for a sub box is the JL Audio stealthbox. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they good? Any other recommendations?

4.) Any other advice on first things to add to my car or what to watch for or anything else is welcomed.

Thanks

some guys will tell you to "search" but im not 1 of them...i like offering my opinion

I, too, wanted Nismo for everything. However, there comes a limit to what I can pay. Im not made of money...if i was i'd have a 430Z with forged internals and TT

As for the CAI.....i honestly say go with nismo. the main reason is the location of the filter. IMO (if you dont have tons of flooding in ur area) putting the filter infront of the tire inside the bumber is great. the other intakes have it either in the grill (gets F-ed up) or in the engine bay (heat and engine shutoff problems).

As for exhaust...are you concerned with looks? power? sound? some things people prefer over others. for me i dont care about looks really...in fact i like the stock, sleeper look given by the exhausts that retain the OEM appearance. Nismo is supposed to sound good and make some ok power....Borla is supposed to be deep and make alot of HP up top but lose power down low.

Fujitsubo Legalis is 99% the same as the Nismo.....some other ones will sound really loud and others not so much so.

Do a search and read up on these things.

Please search “best exhaust” posts. There are hundreds.

2.) Is there anywhere to find where to buy the same style of gauges that are already in the triple gauge pod for other things such as boost, egt, or air/fuel ratio, ect.?

Please post this question in Body Interior Exterior Lighting.

Pease post this question in the Audio Video Security GPS Radar forum.

4.) Any other advice on first things to add to my car or what to watch for or anything else is welcomed.

Yes. check courtesynissan.com: Things that new 350Z owners should know.

i too wanted a nismo exhaust because i wanted to keep the same growl sound that the car has, but i went for the more bang for the buck exhaust greddy evo 2, it has better gains than nismo because of the true dual x pipe design, and it gets deep, but keeps the same sound, your friends will tell you it sounds the same, but really when u rev it higher it has deeper tone than stock. I will be getting a popcharger intake, its not CAI like nismo but its a heck of a lot cheaper and proven to add 6.5 hp at the wheels, better or same as nismo cai.
