Picked Up My '05 Ultra Yellow Enthusiast Today!!
I just picked up my brand spanking new 2005 ULTRA YELLOW ENTHUSIAST (M/T of course!!) I am so pysched. I did 50 miles just out of sheer excitement. Been a while since I drove a M/T but it's all coming back to me!! Paid too much (30K OTD) but I really don't care. Would have bought an '06 but I HAD to have the Ultra Yellow. She looks SWEET!! Can't wait to do some extensive "testing"
30K is about right, especially with the '06's going on sale. Out the door right? So you must of got a good deal. Is your 30K = Tax, title, registration and etc?
Oh yeah, Welcome to the Z experience!

Wanna cookie or something. j/k congrats, I never liked yellow till I got my winter beater (2002 Cavalier LS, yellow) It growing on me, and when I saw a UY with the black Nismo wheels I fell for it.
Congratulations!! Who cares if you overpaid the damn car, what matters is your happy with the car. Speaking from a fellow UY owner, the color is the best yellow out there, IMO. It is about the same color of the C5, except the sparkling metallic color on the Z. I know this because they both sleep together. And I would not overpay for the other car.

Uhm, more like 4K RPM's! Pulled this straight out of the manual!

Congrats....it was either white or yellow for me. I came so close to getting the yellow but was afraid of unwanted attention from the law.
Yellow with black WORK wheels would be the hotness.

Break ins are recommendations. Hear me out!
Certain manufacturers have break in schedules for their vehicle that differ from others. Sure the manufacturer probably knows best, which is probably right. Ive been told that it should be broken in like porsche recommends. I did that and mine is fine. You baby it, it will be a baby, you abuse it and it will be abused but you should still get on it when breaking in but i think under 5k is where to keep it and not 100% throttle maybe 75 is whats recommended. But do a search for Porsche Break in procedure. Purely subjective

Thanks for all the kind words. it feels so good to be a part of the "Z" family.
As far as break-in is concerned my dealer rep warned me not to exceed 4K revs on the engine until 1M miles are on the odometer.
This is like torture to me....all that open road and I have to restrain myself (lol
) !!
I love the color for two reasons; it's a tribute to my good buddy who was killed in his 300ZX TT driven by a mutual friend ( some years ago), and it's just so F****** outrageous and exotic.
It ain't a race unless they see your taillights!!
