Default My new 2006 SA 6MT

Hello guys! I've been on this board for quite some time now reading about 350Zs. I used to drive 94 Prelude VTEC until I decided to move to something different. February 10th 2006 was day when I finally bought her. Anyway, here she is:

oh wow, thats nice for base model owners. So what'd the incentive to buy an enthusiast now? aluminum pedals and viscous LSD, is that it?

Enthusiast upgrades include Viscous LSD, TCS, Steering Wheel Audio controls, Cruise Control, Auto-dimming Rear-view Mirror w/ Homelink and Alum Pedals.

Congrats on the new ride jspeeder. You have chosen wisely.

Oh okay... I didn't realize the enthusiast got the rear view mirror and cruise, I thought all Z's had cruise control.

I thought the TCS (traction control) was the LSD... I didn't realize that was two different things all together... how does the tcs work? I have VDC and I know how that works....

Im asking because ive been tossing around the idea of trading my sc'd 03 touring in for an 06 enthusiast or base (i dont like leather and vdc and bose isn't that great)

If the TCS senses slipping during acceleration, it will cut the power to those wheels to regain traction.

If you are looking to upgrade, I would suggest getting the enthusiest. You get a lot of extras for @ $1500. I just noticed something on nissanusa.com. They are showing the enthusiest as having power seats

See... the VDC cuts power to regain traction as well... im wondering how they are different...

I hope the enthusiast DOESNT have power seats... more weight plus extra electrical junk to unplug for aftermarket seat install.

Thanks for the compliments guys When I bought this car, I was stuck on 2 choices...either the base or the enthusiast model. I went for the base model because I'm going to transfer my car pc stuffs from my old ride to this one. So I'm not really missing the steering wheel controls. As far as LSD well I got my eye on the Nismo LSD Cruise control...I can live without that. About the low pressure being so low, the car was in ACC ON position when I took the picture, so the engine was not running.

Here's the best part...I only pay $175 more per year on insurance from my Prelude ($1200/year on the Z...full coverage w/ rental & $500 deductible). I guess Preludes have a pretty high insurance premium.
