Default The Z has landed

We took delivery of our 06' Touring coupe last night and it's now home resting comfortably under a cover in the garage . The dealer called me here at work at 1pm yesterday and 5 hours later I was driving it home, just ahead of a predicted 6" snowfall due today Fyi for anyone that made an early January order out on an 06', ours made it in 70 days exactly. I'll try and get a few pics posted once I get my LMGT4's mounted in the next few days.

Btw, this is the first NAVI I've had and judging from the drive home from the dealer it sure looks like Nissan did a great job with the display and operation. I think we'll like having it.

This car will never see snow Fortunately we've two work cars that'll allow us to keep the Z garaged during the winter. The weather really cooperated for us in that it rained pretty good not long ago and cleaned the highways of alot of road salt, so the drive home from the dealer was on nice, dry, clean highways. Something unusual for March in Wisconsin

Now that's what I'm hoping for! But mine was ordered late Jan, though. What estimated delivery date had Nissan NA given you when you ordered?

Many congrats on the excellent choice! I am a partial Wisconsinite by the way; lived in Superior for 7 years....7 COLD years

Yes...options. I ordered mine with everything except sat radio. No dealership in the country had one with those specs.

Glad to share the day with you! Luckily I only had to wait 1 1/2 weeks but they were pute agony. I slept about a hour last night and got up and peeked in the garage having to pinch myself. Been waiting to be able to get a Z since first word it was coming out. Happy driving!

We ordered out our Z on 1/4. At that time the only Touring coupe that came close to what we wanted (IF, MT, Bags, Navi) was in southern Illinois and didn't have the Navi. Besides, the idea of the car having two or three hundred miles on it when we got it wasn't appealing. We decided to order out to get the Navi and besides, waiting 90 days in the middle of winter in Wisconsin isn't terrible. Wasn't like we were going to be able to drive it anyway. The 90 day estimate the dealer gave us would put it right about the beginning of spring and salt free roads About a month after ordering we were contacted by the dealer telling us we now had a VIN and that Nissan estimated delivery to be 3/24. Turned out to be 10 days short of that estimate and 20 days short of the original 90 days we were told at the time we ordered.

Looking forward to summer

In my area there were no 06 Touring with the options I wanted and the color I wanted. My dealer searched and there was none in the country the way I wanted it. Ordered 06 Touring silverstone, 6MT, Navi, air bags. Most dealers around me that actually had 06 were enthusiests or base models. I think maybe 1 or 2 touring within 70 miles but no navi

Scottohio03, I ordered it January 10. Production was scheduled for Feb. My sales guy says the average is 120 days from production to delivery.

I know the feeling about taking a peek into the garage every now and then.... just to make sure the cover is on correctly , although I've been through the new car feeling many times before and know that it'll pass. But I still enjoy it while it lasts

Right now it's sitting on four jackstands while I take the tires to the tire shop to get the LMGT4's mounted. I'm also doing the catback and sways this weekend while it's up on stands. With any luck I'd be able to post a couple of pix early next week.
