Brake Caliper Painting?
Wassup guys, I have been searching around the forums because I am interested in having my brake calipers painted and I have seen some good information. It looks like the G2 BRAKE CALIPER PAINT SYSTEM is one of the best.
Now that, that has been established does anyone know where in Maryland would be a good paint shop to have it done for a decent price?
I mean I would do it myself but from reading the instructions for the system online all four wheels have to be off the car at the same time. I have no way to do that sort of thing.
Any suggestions?

Don't get you Pads Painted, Just your Calipers. You could have a Body Shop do it, but it will cost you a fortune. Your car comes with a Jack and Lug Wrech, you can use it to remove and paint your wheels and put them back on long enough to get to a shop that has a torqe wrench to put them on right. Or just buy a torque wrench yourself and a nice jack. Nothing to it.
You can do one wheel at a time. (I Did two at a time with Jack Stands)

to be honest the easiest way to do it is go to an autozone get some Hightemp 1200 engine paint and just spray them. i do mine that way and dont even take the wheels off, i just put newspaper between the two spokes where the caliper is. you can even spray the paint into the cap and use a brush if you dont fell comfortable spraying. i swear its the easiest thing you can do and costs me about $4.99 and about 15 minutes of my time. it holds up great too
some of those caliper paint kits are a pain in the ***.. you have to apply coat after coat and mix the hardner.

I used the $15 dollar Duplicolor kit from Pep Boys, it comes with caliper cleaner, brush, paint (no hardener needed). Good solid shine with no chipping or fading after 6k miles.
I did black, that is the only thing I regret, black makes the brakes look even smaller than they already are inside my Nismos. If I had it to do over I would do red or silver.

Why waste the expense of every having to redo them once they have seen enough miles.
Just put up the extra $$$ and get them powder coated which is permanent and much better looking. You can even do those neat graphics.
Just a thought. A pretty good one if you ask me!!

Thanks for all the advice guys! I just finished the Duplicolor kit. It's great.
Also, as a side note. If I had the money to powder coat I would not have asked the question, but thanks.
