I have a question...Wanted to see what you guys thought....

I purchased my car a week ago and also purchased the rear OEM spoiler and window tint. They said they had to order the spoiler and it could be up to 5 days to get it in and I should just bring the car back and do the spoiler/tint at one time.......Now they are telling me that the spoiler is on backorder and there is no telling when it will be in.....they are offering me an aftermarket spoiler (saying it is the same exact thing) and that the guy can come out to my house and do it......I paid around $400 for this spoiler....Is this really the same thing?? Should I wait on the Factory one??

Thanks!

I'd say it really depends on fit and color matching...since you have one of the hardest colors to match, i'd wait for OEM...they told me the same thing when I bought my car...have them check local dealers...service manager told me about 5 days to get the spoiler and then paint it...about 5 minutes later he said, hey bring the car tomorrow...I found one about 2 hours away and i'll go pick it up! Good luck and great lookin car!

Talked to the dealership again today and they assured me that the aftermarket spoiler is exactly the same. He said they use this company all the time and have never had a complaint.

THey claim there is no telling when the factory spoiler will be shipped because it is on backorder with no date......they also said no other dealership will have it.....

Is this safe?? Should I get the aftermarket?
I am supposed to take it by there tomorrow.

Thanks

a spacer on the rev-up doesnt add any hp

its not about max volume in the plenum, sportz mag proved there is an optimal volume of air for N/A applications. The rev up lower plenum has been redesigned to flow more equally bw each cylinder, it doesnt suffer the starved front cylinder problem like the 287hp lower plenum

i just did the copper tb mod, and the plenum did feel cooler afterwards. Doubt its added any hp, but would be more efficient for the engine

Well, Just what I figured would happen....I dropped my car off at the dealership today to have the After Market spoiler and tint done. When I picked it up I noticed right away that the spoiler was not right.....you could see the surface was not level on 1-2 spots......The paint job was actually pretty good though.....So now they are going to replace it with the factory spoiler when one comes in (said they have no idea when)....I sure hope the factory spoiler will fit in the same exact holes they drilled into my car.......

Damn this sucks!!

They gave me a paper stating the owe me a factory spoiler......Dont you think getting a new trunk would deminish the value of the car?
I am already pissed that they had the front license plate holes drilled before I bought it......
