New to me Z, NYC
Just wanted to say hello to everyone out there. Last week, I just purchased an '03 Chrome Silver 6MT Touring Coupe with Black Leather. Very happy with the purchase as it was a well maintained car, with none of the issues common with the early 350's (except the tire crap). I have been a Z guy for many years, but it's always been old school Z31'S. I've owned an '88 Metallic Grey 2+2, '88 Black Turbo, and an '88 Pearl White Super Shiro. I was planning on getting a mint Z32 TT, but with the prices they were going for, I figured that I could spend that and at least get a much newer car. The Z32 would have ended up being modded a bunch, but this '03 will be a cruiser for now. I have always wanted this car, worked hard for it....so I am pretty happy.
I am located in NYC, born and raised here. Would be nice to see some fellow NY-er Z people on this board. The 350's I have seen locally are usually driven by older dudes who don't seem to care or know about the Z heritage. You wave, and you receive a weird look, haha. It's going to be hard to keep a Z mint around here, I am sure you guys know how that is.
Anyways, first plans are to buy some Amsoil for the motor, tranny and diff, wire in a Compustar, and enjoy the ride. This forum has been very instrumental in my purchase and my knowledge of my car. Thanks for reading, and take care.
