possible new 350z owner
well my credit got approved for a new 350z but now im kinda nervous
the dealership is almost a 3 hour drive away and ive never test drove the car before...the dealership wont give me a idea on how much a downpayment i would need what my car payments will be nothing...bascially they told me to come on down and lets make a deal'
id hate to drive all the way down there just for them to try to rip me off...would be a waste of a 3 hour trip not to mention gas aint cheap lol
any tips?

so you got approved through the dealership? I would go through a credit union and probably get a better rate...plus you can do it with no money down and it would be considered a cash purchase so a little more power on your side to bring down the price...if you got approved through them and they didn't get you numbers...then you weren't approved just pre-approved...at least that's how I feel...good luck though you won't be disappointed!
i went back to my local Nissan dealership and played it cool on him
told him i was buying a brand new 350z tomorrow and i was going to drive 4 hours to get it and i just wanted to take one last look
now all of a sudden they wanna cut deals...well see what happens...Daytona Blue 350z might be sitting in my garage before the sun goes down !

3 things before buying a new car research, research and research. meaning get quotes from all dealers, look for best deal, lower price much as possible, know how much everyone from that area got it for, and more research. if your rich then just buy it.

Step 1: Get qualified for a loan at local bank or credit union. You want to go to dealer with financing in hand. Then your only negociating price. If your not sure of price just use MSRP & then let lender know when you have specifics.
Step 2: Do some homework on pricing. Try Comsumer Reports or MSN auto.
Youshould be 2 to $3,000 below MSRP from what I've seen here.
Step 3: Go to dealer & buy your car.

Know before you go, is the golden rule of car shopping.
Hope it works out for you, thaspadez, with the Daytona Blue and your local guy. Generally it's a good idea to go local when you can, just to make service after the sale that much easier.
