Default Newbie - About to buy.

Hey guys, I am on the brink of purchasing my first Z. Any words of wisdom, tips or highlights on the purchase. I am getting the touring model in all black in and out.

Any help for the new guy would be greatly appreciated, I'll stay in touch and post some pix when I get it.

Later,

RC

Definitely plus 1. Newer one seems to be less problematic, but depends if you intend working it or not. Welcome to the forum.

Set a realistic price you are willing to pay. Go in looking for the deal of a lifetime. If they refuse an awesome deal try to get somewhere under your price you are willing to pay before checking somewhere else. There is no reason not to shop around but there's also usually no point in driving 200 miles to save $500 off a 20-30k car...

Thanks for the words guys. I just got my 04.5. Touring package, black with black leather, 6sp M/T. Only 17K miles, this thing is cherry it was a toy for the guy I got it from.

Wheels coming in this Thursday, I will get some pics up when I get them on.

First impression on this car is that its a bullet, this thing flies and is a blast to drive.

AWESOME CAR!!

Why for 10 or so hp, active head restraints and a host of new problems only to be found after you buy it.

Or you could save several k on an 06 and only worry about oil consumption which is well documented

Later,

RC

black looks bada$$ only when its shiny and new. Remember black paint magnifies all fine scratches/swirl marks and imperfections. There are more important things to do in life than constantly dusting and buffing a black car around the clock IMO.

I like your style: post questions on October 8. Buy a 350Z on October 16. No messing around. Congratulations.
