Default I couldnt help myself.

I bought a Z.. yes I know... what was i thinking haha. I would just like to say that this car is very very nice. very fast. alot faster then i thought it was going to be for the hp is has. The handling is absolutly supurb imo. I dont know about you guys who drive proches or corvettes n stuff like that, but i drove an 03 yukon and an 03 accord for the past 3 years and this thing just makes my jaw drop (big transition :-p) Pictures do this car no justice. it has to be seen close up in person. for 19k that i paid for it with 6900 miles, clean as the day it came out of the factory, it was worth every penny, and its well worth it. Let this be said for the people who are looking into them. Its just simply a great car. and for all the guys on here who know exactally what i mean, The girlfriend diddnt get a call that night you bought it either that or you were 3 houres late calling haha. Ok im rambling on now. Also, for some reason this thing smokes alot ?!?! is that normal for the z? Its an 03'. and its been around 60 degress. It dosnt smoke much at idle but when i rev it up it smokes alot and the exaust is very smelly. smells really rich. Idk if this is somthing i should get checked out or who knows might be normal for them, with 7k miles it could still be breaking in.

do you mean that you got it at 69,000 miles or just 6900. Because if it's the latter, you got an amazing deal. I would assume in NY you'll need to get an emissions inspection pretty soon after buying the car. If it's running too rich, the inspection will definately pick it up and give you a high "NOX" reading. Let us know what happens, and welcome to the board!

Yeah its an 03' 6976 miles to be percise lol.. touring edt. everything xcept navi. not a scratch on it, headlights pristene, engine not a spec on it. But yeah the thing loves to smoke thats for sure. ill have to leave it running for a bit and see if it goes away. im hoping the valve guides arent bad or somthing. Its not antifreeze, no sweet smell. obviously not burning oil cause it would be bluish. like ill rev it up and smoke will kind of bellow out of the pipes for a good 30 seconds. and by bellow i mean kind of a out very slowly. i have a video of it doing it just dont know how to post it.. ill have to take it to get looked at. theres no check engine light, and in nys you dont have to pass emissions. 1996 and before you do.

7K miles = $19K = smoke

ask the previous owner why it smokes and why he sold it to you so cheap.

Yeah the blue book value on that car would be about $23,300, so if it's smoking it's possible the seller knew there was something wrong, and that's why you got such a good deal. Could also be why there are so few miles on it.
I'd have it checked out. Hopefully it works out for you, it's a great car. Good luck.

A car with only 6900 miles on it should not smoke no matter what kind of car it is. You may have some serious isses here. I wouldn't drive it if its smoking at this early age.

I talked to and explained to somone what may have caused it and he said by the looks of it it seems normal. its just its not registered yet so i cant drive it, it has no plates yet, so i cant take a spin for 20 minutes and then see if it goes away, hes almost positive its just condinsation burning off. i sure hope so. and i think it still mat be under warenty so ill just have them fix it. if not, drive it till it breaks haha

its just the exaust dosnt smell like a normal car. it smells more like my fathers 427 chevy biscayne haha. smells very very rich. but its not like that new car grose bland scent, it smells like its got no catalytic converts. But it does. if theres a way to post a video on this site i will, ill give you the link to my myspace video and see. this was about 60 degree weather. was a fresh start up- cold motor but that still is a ton of smoke...

True...if it looks like that only when the motor is cold or it's cold outside then you're fine....but FYI it's not good to redline it when the motor is still cold
