Default Future Owner

I am planning on buying a new 350Z at the end of this month. I have a couple questions that you may be able to help me out with. Things to know before you answer. I never plan on bringing the car to a track. I really want leather seats.

1. Do you think the viscous limited-slip rear differential and traction control would be that noticeable if you did not have them? My roommate (a M3 owner) does not think it will make much of a difference on your day to day driving. I am leaning on buying the base model and adding the leather seats if i can get that as a factory option.

2. How long did it take you to get used to the small rear window?

3. Do you think the resale value will be significantly higher on a Tourning model over the base model in 3-4 years?

4. Personal preference on color? I am debating between red and black.

Thanks for all the input in advance. Looking forward to driving my new car soon.

well the car is meant to go fast, so no need to look back. Things are only getting smaller.

1. In Florida, you should be fine with a base model

2. Not long at all.

3. Not significantly, but the touring will still be higher.

4. Blue.

if you want leather, you need to get the touring model...unless you want to have custom leather seats put in by someone else.

Leather seats are not a factory option.

On direct answers to your questions, I agree with camaro above.

But my advice would be to get the Enthusiast model & buy after market leather. The Enthusiast gives you lots of goodies for not much more money than Base.

The Base model would be fine. I think your best option is to get a Base and then look in the Marketplace here for someone who is selling their leather seats.

Touring's will be worth more than a Base for resale but keep in mind that the Touring comes with heated seats (someone correct me if I'm wrong)...which probably isn't a super desirable feature in FL. So that price difference might be less of a margin in hotter states.

Default Almost bought it today

Well I almost bought the red touring tonight. However there was a small difference in opinion on the price. I am going to another dealer soon enough. I do have one other question.

If the car comes with an aero kit on it. How hard is it to remove the rear wing? Will it damage the paint?

Shop around would be best advice, so you don't get ripped off!!

2. Yes the small rear windows do hinder vision a bit, on the motorway lane changing, look and look again, gotta love that blind spot, but not too much of a major if use your head when driving.
3. Don't know about in the US but not that many Tourings around, so resale value higher ultimately.
4. Both look great!! Red will be easier to keep looking good and doesn't show the dings and stonechips up the same way.

You don't want to price leather seats from a dealer. I know, since I can sell them.

The little nub wing? There are 2 holes so you'd need to have those filled if you removed the wing. Or find another wing that will cover them up. I had thought of replacing my nub until I found that out. For a while there were very few wings that covered the holes properly.
