nissan says 5.4 seconds 0-60mph and around 14.2 seconds in the quarter mile at 102mph

Its hard to believe the companies website/car & driver etc. I have seen them list cars 1/4 times in the 15s when the car actually runs in the 13s. I have also seen them list cars that "should" run in the 14s and acutally run in the upper 15s if not 16s. The most reliable answers are from the actual drivers. I knew coming into this that I was going to get alot of for asking suck a newb question; however, I was just looking for a quick answer without searching through the various threads.

So, a Z with about $10,000 in mods will run lower 13s?

if you have a Z and $10,000 in mods (performance wise) you better be in the lower 12's

The ET speaks for itself. Pick an ET. Look at the drivers mods. Estimate the cost of those mods.
