Default My Zed is just for me!

Thought it mught be interesting to see what you guys drive if you have another car!

I have 4 kids ranging from 12 to 19 (2 of mine and 2 of my second wife's) so I need a sensible car to cart them about!

I have a 10 yr old Volvo 850 estate. It is the T5 auto and great fun when you mash the gas!

It looks a little rough around the edges but soooooo reliable!

140mph no prob and thats with a wardrobe in the back!

People who know their cars in the UK, know waht a Zed is, as you guys in the US call it a Zee, I guess it doesn't quite sound the same!

So do you say 350 Zee or 350 Zed??

We call it a "Zee" or "350 Zee."

"Zed" sounds a bit . . . . odd. Lol.

But each to his own.

A bit like calling a boot a trunk and a bonnet a hood!

Let alone faucets and sidewalks!

I noticed the "Zed" when i watched a 350z vs. Audi tt on youtube. The guy driving the car called it a 350z Zed. Is that how you pronounce "Z" or is it like a phrase.

My new daily drivers is an 06 Xterra S
Mrs Ichigo drives an 03 Toyota Camry XLE and occasionally gets to swipe my new X.

The Z stays tucked away in a climate controlled garage. No one drives it besides me.

Boot = trunk
Bonnet = hood
Wind Screen = wind shield

... the same conventions follow into Australia too.

We also have a Volvo as the family car, but it's a V70 GLT as opposed to the more fun oriented T5 you have. We're about to replace the Volvo with another sport wagon but am not sure exactly which model at this point.

I'm from the US but am living and working in British Columbia and everyone says Zed but I still say Zee

Since folks are noting other US to UK differences I'll throw this one out there:

sedan = saloon
