On the slight chance you are truly a new member, welcome.

It can be very exciting when someone buys a -Z-. I know I was.

Tip to original poster: Read many posts here and educate yourself before posting. Many of us here love to burn virgins.

(I noticed he posted an identical thread 30 days ago)

FYI, I just got a 2007 tourlng silver/burnt orange. I had a hell of a time with the dealer (Miami Fl) these people do a lot of bait and switch over the phone or internet and we must be ready. So I kept asking for free qoutes every month for the last 10-12 months through Edmunds.com, and no one would send me the quote "UNTIL" taa, taa!!! last sunday 1/14/07 an internet sales manager sent me an e-mail with a qoute of $27,489 on a 2006 350Z touring with all the toys. I went to the dealer and he tried the old bait and switch on me. I just walked out with my quote in hand and started an e-mail campain to all the TV stations, and news pappers in the Miami area with copies to the dealer and all the big shots at Auto Nation.com. To make the story short I got a call yesterday 1/30/07 from the General Manager offering me the 2007 350Z for $28,000 minus $908 hold back from the dealer, and $11,500 for a 2003 Ford Sport Track in a trade in. KBB had it valued at $9,900><. I tell you all this because they are always trying to screw their customers, but there are ways we can get them back if we just show some patience, they are counting on our emotions so don't show them, act like its just another car. but guys it is not "I love this car" it has everything but nav. buying a car is like going fishing, must have patience and make sure you bring sharp hooks and good bait. and "NEVER, EVER BECOME THE FISH" they can only get away with what we let them get away with. I hope this will help others trying to buy.
I'm not sure but I walked away with around $4,000 under invoice.

I just traded my 2005 Super black for a 2006 silver alloy. Bought it from the same dealer as the 05. I had only 7200 miles in excellent condition. they offered only 18K. The 06 was 29K, with 1K cash back. After about a week of back and fourth, I finally got them to give me 21,100 for my 05 and about 400 under invoice for the 06. OTD price was 31,900.

good for you rlee60! and congratulations. folks while reading rlee60's post I had a thought, it may be a dumb thought but then again it might not be. Lets say for example that we use this forum to start a movement against unscrupulous car dealerships and car salesman. (God knows everyone has been screwed at one time or another), and we start a thread to deal with just this problem, I know this site is just for the 350Z. But hopefully, if we have any success outing bad 350Z sales persons others can follow and start their own myvette.com, or mymustang.com, or with what ever car model they like. just think, if this takes off the dealers just might think twice. folks I'm a pacifist but we could start a revolution in the car sales industry and exposse unscrupulous dealerships and the techniques they use, I know is a big order but as individuals all thats required would be a small post expossing your negative buying experience. I guess I'm also an optimist hahaha. but we never know what we could do, do we?
