Very nice car. The wheels look great. Any plans on seeing if an 06 hood will fit the 07's? I just can't seem to get over the hump in the hood. Reminds me of:

Looks great man. Quick question. I know the new vqhr has dual intakes and a dual exhaust right? Then why does the 07 exhaust look exactly like a 03-06 exhaust? Can u try to post some underside pics and show us the pipes? Is it a y-pipe back or a TD?

I noticed that a couple of people are saying that the 07 is better then the 03? The question is why? Yes it does have more Hp by 20 but... it weighs 150lbs more then the 03 which equals out the performance.

so whats better about it?

New features (Bi-Xenons, LED tails, updated interior/exterior, newer more powerful engine, wheels, etc.).

Are u serious? I thought Nissan said the vqhr was going to be a td. So all it has is twin intakes and equal length headers?

Because first, it SEEMS extremely noticeably faster. Honestly after driving the 03 Z after trading in my 00 Mustang GT, it felt incredibly slower and my 00 stang GT was only a 13.8-13.9 car. It really felt slow compared to my stang.

It is probbaly just that I havent driven a Z for 2 months, but the new 07 feels extremely faster than my 03 and even feels faster than the stang. I havent taken it over 6k rpm yet.

It has a much much much nicer interior. I love the LED lights -etc-, I love the new headlights, i love everything about my 07. It just seems so much nicer and FASTER than my 03 and its not even broken in yet. The HP rating of the 03 was 287, the 07 is rated 306 WITH the new rating systems, I am not sure what the 03 is rated under the new system, but I would think it would be lower than that. Before the new rating I believe they said it was like 315-320HP.

All I know that is it a lot faster then my 04, smoother, and easier to drive. It doesn't feel like the 287 motor at all.

People just don't seem to realize or keep forgetting the new HP and TQ peak values are for the based on the NEW SAE ratings. So 306 HP is actually maybe closer to 315 HP which is 28 HP increase in peak HP.

Its not the Peak HP or TQ that counts, but the area under the curve as they say. There was a thread that had dyno results of the new HR motor on a Z with comparison to the old VQ and the rev-up VQ with mods. The dynos shows clearly that the stock HR is more powerful than the VQ engine even when modded!

True that weight increased in the 07, but thats what they said about the 06 and people weighed the cars to find out that it didn't weigh as much as people thought it did.

Either ways...HR FTW in my opinion.
