Default My New Baby!!!

Well, I'm happy to announce I am now a proud father of a new 2007 350Z Enthusiast.

Here she is:

She's waiting for me in Virginia while I finish up my time in Afghanistan.

As you can see, the car still has all the protective plastic covering inside and out. Well the salesman told me the car has 81 miles on it. I started thinking, "How the hell did the car get those miles on them?" My 2006 Z had 7 miles when I bought it and that's the way I want my 2007. So I call the salesman I've been dealing with and ask where those miles came from.....Here is how the conversation went:

-"How did the car get all those miles"?
-"We had to drive it from the other dealership". (I already knew they had to pick it up at the other dealership)
-"Where was the dealership"?
-"Here in Virginia. It had 19 miles already on it before we picked it up and then we had to drive it to our dealership".
-"What dealership was it at"?
-"One of our other partner dealerships. We had one of our drivers pick it up, bring it here, I drove it to the back of the lot and put a sold sign on it so nobody would touch your car until you return ".

Basically I was trying to find out the name of the dealership where the car originated at so I could jump on yahoo maps or something and see what the distance was between the two dealerships. It didn't seem like he was going to give the specific name, so I gave up.

I sarcastically said to the salesman, "Well, I hope the driver enjoyed the car for those 62 miles, but didn't drive the hell out of it"!

You guys/gals think I'm being too paranoid? What's you alls take on it?

Either way, I can't wait to get home and drive her.

Congrats man

And hell no your not paranoid, i told my dealer if the car had the wheel plastic removed the deal would be over (yours has the wheel plastic removed ) LOL

Anyway have fun with it and see if you can have it parked in the garage untill you pick up, that's the only thing i would make sure of.

Cheers

Kevin

Ummmmm.....Holy $#!t. I just looked on the dealership website for what locations they have. There is only one Sheehy Nissan in Virginia.

The salesman told me they drove it from one dealership in Virginia to their dealership in Virginia. Now how the hell can they do that when there is only one in Virginia????

I just called them....of course my salesman is gone for the day. So I ask for a sales manager and what do you know, I get his voice mail.

What would you guys do??? What should I do??? I should say "deals off unless you find me a new car!!!" (cause all they have is my deposit to hold the car)

I would definitely threaten them that the contract is null and void unless they get you a car with much fewer miles on it...you are buying new, not used.

In most states, they have to return your deposit although it could be after a bit of a hassle. Talk to the sales manager and tell him/her you want the absolute truth because you think you are being lied too and think it is probably worse. Write down what he says. Verify it from the dealership where they got the car.

How was it driven with the protective plastic still on it?? Why didn't they let you bring it from the other dealer or at least ride along. Why didn't they put it on a small tow truck carrier? Tell them you think it is a demo and want a discount or a new car. Very frustrating, sorry.

I would have thought they would if there is another dealer, put it on a tow-truck to be driven over, not literally driving the Z. My Z had 06kms on when i purchased, so just off the container ship, onto truck and onto yard. Your story sounds fishy, have a lil chat to the sales manager.
