Just joined the group with a 04
I got a 350Z 04, Touring coupe. Thanks for all the info here. I didn't post but read a lot of info and it helped me make the decision and get a fair deal. Other than minor "wear/scuffs" on the paint, It appears great. Still reading the manual to find out how things work. From a dealer, I paid $22K plus our sales tax and lic. only $35 in "extra" charges.
A couple of questions, I usually buy the shop service manuals for whatever I own. I see on Ebay a CD "manual" is this the way to go or get the real book from where ever? I don't expect to rebuild the engine, but like to be able to fix the little stuff and find how to "get a door panel off" that type of thing.
It appears to be "stock" and I probably won't be souping it up, but if you put 19" wheels on it, how do you adjust for the speed?
I'm sure that I'll need a lot more info and I will keep reading.
For the Manuf. warranty to be continue to be good, the previous owner needed to have done all the required maintenance, right? I forgot to ask, can/will the dealer look it up and tell you, as well as if the recalls were taken care of?
Thanks again for all the info. I have a forum for carwash etc operators. autocareforum.com

...and
The warranty is three years from the manufacturing date. wether you are the first or tenth owner!!!!
if you have an '04 check into the front tires feathering issue (car roars loudly as you slow down)
if you have an 04.5 you should be fine with that

Year 2004.5
If I read the info right on the Nissan site, I have the 2004 version. I looked at the tires and they look okay. I'm going to check and see if the recall/s were taken care of. I assume that I can ask the dealer to check that and what service has been done on the car. I was under the impression that if you didn't have the required maintenance done on any car that the warranty wasn't valid. I'm thinking that I read that in my Honda Van warranty.

Congratulations on your purchase. You can search for specific answers to your question on the 19" and speed changes. Basiclly you can keep the speedometer fairly accurate by reducing the profile of the tire when you increase the wheel diameter. I'm sure there's limitations on that.

Welcome and congratulations.
The shop service manual is free on line, but we cannot link to it here. Copyright laws and all that stuff.
Wheel questions are better answered in the wheel forum.
The dealer may have a record of services if the services were completed there.
Recalls? What recalls?
