It means the VDC is sensing wheel spin.
Turn it off if you are drag racing. No fun having the egine cut power as your trying to launch it.

you'll run much faster....VDC is basically when u start losing traction the computer system will start braking for you so you can catch traction again. thats why when u launch and you still have it on it will cut power to catch traction again. And when you shift at high rpms your going to lose traction so its going to kick in again. TURN IT OFF and u'll see a big difference. just leave it on for bad weather conditions or when your not going to drive hard

Its not necessary. Especially in AZ. I always turn mine off - unless its raining. That doesn't happen too often though.

Just know that if you push your car too hard around a turn, it won't correct itself if it starts sliding. Which shouldn't be a big deal...not that complicated to straighten yourself out.

Welcome to drag racing. Im sure that there are members who have done worse. Don't worry about anyone else. Its your game. Practice and you will be running 14.8 seconds. Practice more and you will be running 13.8 seconds.

1.2 seconds is one hell of an improvement. Just think about how fast the Z will go with the emergency brake OFF.

I'm not a straight-line racer, so I can't figure out why the VDC light would go off between 4th and 5th in the straight on dry pavement. Do you hit 5th gear in the 1/4 mile? I red-line at 90 in 3rd.

Excuse the dumb question. I'm curious enough that a flame is worth the understanding.

Sounds like an awesome improvment. I have been meaning to make it out to firebird, the track in tucson is garbage. Oh and just an fyi your reaction time has nothing to do with your quarter mile time.
