Default New Z Owner

Have been on this forum for a while, have actually had my Z for a year last month (had a party ha). I haven't introduced myself yet, so here it goes. Name is Nick, live near the beach in Maryland. I bought a 2003 350z Touring SS 6 speed with a bunch of options last year (20k miles paid $20k). Have been focusing over the year to make payments adding the traditional jwt pop charger, but since I have some money to spend on the Z really could use wheels/tires and would like any opinions on my choices. The poll has the wheels I can afford to get, but the cheaper wheels I would order with a set of springs at the same time while the more expensive models would have to wait say a couple months on springs.

All wheels in poll can be ordered as 19s or 20s (unless stated other)

Here's a link with pics of the wheels.

Thanks man. Haha yeah, I know the end decision is mine, and basically all of those wheels I could see on my car. Just thought would feel around on what other people liked. As you can tell, I like the black wheels on the SS Z look. Sevas look pretty nice and clean but are kind of heavy (I think), and before I even bought my Z I wanted that deeeeep rear lip on the wheels. I am leaning toward either the Sevas or Axis wheels. Even bigger decision I think is wether to get 19s or 20s.

You will sacrifice alot of handling on 20's or IMO the 19's too. But everyone has a different twist on things. I'm guessing you are more after the asthetic, than the handling. Sorry if I'm picking wrong. For me as long as the rims fit bigger rotors and brakes etc for track work I'm happy.

Yeah, I am leaning towards the 19s, not sacrifice AS much as the 20s, but still want larger than stock wheels. And being that I am friends, and help out, with the guy who runs the two large car shows that occur here I wanted the Z to look clean (well clean-er) outside and still have power too. I can't imagine having a Z and just doing looks to it. I am keeping the stock wheels for track/road courses.

Congratulations for the Zs anniversary. If you can't narrow it down to less than 8 types and several sizes, I would wait some more. Most that vote will do so for the wheels that they have or want, not the ones you want. Are you sure you want the wheels that everyone else has?

Thanks man. I pretty sure have narrowed it down to just 19s and is between the two Sevas' and the three Axis'. I personally would rather pay 2k for wheels/tires than 3-4 and have the look of them not differ that greatly. Then, spend the other grand or two in other mods. I might later on get new sets that are more rare/better, but for now could really use them since bought the Z used and stock wheels are beat up (curbing from previous owner) and tires have no tread. I would feel better with 2k wheels/tires with attending college (2-3 more years) rather than far greater sets. After that 2-3 years I'll have the degree/job (hopefully) then can spend more on my Z than I get to now, which means new wheels.

Haha, now don't get the impression that I am all about show and no go and have the Z for shows. But, can't go wrong with a free spot during the two car shows (one with funkmaster flex and others). Even a stock body, lowered, with wheels that have deep rear lip IMO looks amazing. Which is what I will basically have for a while, while I am working on the engine.

Axis shine, that is what I plan to get, love the aluminum with a little gunmetal look. It'll go great with SS, IMAO.

No I didn't. I know when you surrounded by show cars, you want yours to be as sweet as possible is what I was trying to say.

I'll get some good ones in next day or so and post em up on here. I like em, but need to work on a few more things (wheel locks, tint, springs, etc.). They are 19x8.5 and 19x9.5, I wish they had 10+ available for the rear, but looks fine to me.

Can you add some tyre shine in before you take some picys, optimise those rims. My goodness we're demanding.
