Default Can you add Cruise Control?

I'm about to buy a new 07 Z and have a question. I'd like to get the base model and do my own mods with the savings, but I really want cruise control. Is there any way to add it? Does anyone make an aftermarket CC? I have searched the threads extensively but I can't find an answer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you the money and technical expertise, why not. You will need a steering wheel, wiring harness, computer... never mind. Just buy a Enthusiast.

Greeting Lanshark. I'd have to agree with the others. Happy shopping and don't forget to post photos when you have a Z.

Hi Lanshark!
I have an enthusiast roadster...the "base" model of roadsters. its pretty base, if you know what I mean, but I love it. I wanted a touring or GT, but this was the right car for me.

I would say, if you are young with sucky credit like me, find a dealership that will give you a car no matter what. Mine said "your job is your credit" hehehe. Even if you are planning on modding, like I am, I think its really helpful to at least pay a tiny bit more for some cool stuff, like the auto dimming mirror, cruise control even tho I hate it and would never use it, etc...consider it, but get what makes you happy. F the $$$. And I do believe of course you could later on get CC. some how, some way, someone i am sure is willing to be paid to hook it up for you.

If cruise control is that important to you, for sure buy the Enthusiast. You won't be able to add it(if possible) Cruise C and the differential lock for the same money.

Thanks for all the feedback. I discussed the issue with a dealer service manager, and he said it would be expensive to add OEM cruise control, but that there were several aftermarket CC units that would work. He even recommended Rostra brand. He did also say that adding aftermarket CC could become a warranty issue. I researched Rostra and other aftermarket units, and it looks like a good one would cost around $300-$400 plus installation.
