Question newbie question about front plate

Hey everyone!

I've had my 350Z for about 1 week now, and love it!!

my question is how many of you who live in a state where front plates are law (like here in minnesota) don't put it on and do you get away with it

I've ordered the front plate holder that goes in fornt of the grill just incase i really have to, was lucky i told the dealer i wouldn't buy the car if they mounted the stock front plate holder, and amazingly they listened !!

thanks for the replies

Marc.

I live in a state where the front plate is mandatory. I was stopped by the cops (Police checkpoint) and nothing was said about me not having a front plate.

New York requires a front plate. I see police stopping cars and writing tickets every day for no front plate. I devised a method of mounting my from plate using several black Ty-wraps. They go around the factory plate holder and thru the grill. I've had my front plate on since Sept and the car runs cool in the hottest weather.. I've enclosed a photo of how it looks.. I made sure my dealer DID NOT install the front plate frame.. and he listened..

I live in CA. (plates required).
First day with my car, and spotted a Sheriiff's cruiser up the road from me. As I got closer I could see him looking at me from his side view mirror. I kept going, and nothing! Sure hope that continues.

BTW: Asked my dealer about the license bracket and he told me they sold one car with the bracket attached. The customer was so irate about it (understandably) that now they leave it entirely up to the buyer to have the bracket installed.

Default K2WE's Tywraps Work

I have had mine on for 7 months . No problems . Steve's idea is a good one if you are uncertain about how you really want to mount it . It was to be temporary , but it's now permanent . Steve is right -no heating problems at all . Boy , does it look better than on the bumper ! Thanks , Steve !

Courtesy Nissan sells a bracket that appears to work, I haven't done anything with mine yet. I got a warning for not ahving a front plate, but that was in IL.... My car is registered in MO.
