Default New to Forum

Hey guys my name is Jason, I'm new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself. I have a 2005 Black 350Z base that I bought new in 05. I come from doing alot of stuff on the Evo since I worked at an Evo shop for 2 years. I'm looking forward to being a member of a great forum...

Welcome Jason, AKA Tiki O'tool. Not many people on this forum mod their cars.

As far as overall performance (stock for stock) the Evo wins. As far as price to mod both are pretty close in price as far as aftermarket. What I like more about the Z is the torque curve compared to the evo. The Z is alot more linier, with more usable power in the lower rpm range. And of course the looks of the Z are Way better than the evo, I like the looks of the evo but the Z just has that sexy bad *** look to it. Getting back to the performance aspect of it, it really doesn't take much to get the Evo to the 330whp mark on a stock turbo set up. But the evos are tempermental sometimes and their transmissions are notorius for exploding. New member CC Z33 is an Evo owner making the change to the Z, so he knows what the Evo is capable of. I also like being able to get the tail end of the Z to come around in a corner for a better exit, the Evo pushes abit kinda like a fwd which I dont really like, thats just my opinion. If you FI a Z (which I plan on putting the Vortech system on later this year) its very easy to get mid 330whp-400whp or more on pump gas, which with the evo a turbo upgrade and or race gas are the ways to get you there. But, how many gas stations have 101 or C16 at the pump, I know of a few that have 101 but not C16. So I think the Z is a better all around car for the street and track.

Jason-

Sitting in front of TT right now waiting to get the car back to stock. Going back to the dealership on Saturday to hopefully pick up the Z. I had to get on the EVO one more time today. I'm looking forward to owning the Z.
