Is it only flashing when you exceed 4000 RPMs? If so, I think that is what it is supposed to do; i.e. a warning.

Guess I wasn't clear - it's the letters "RPM" below the actual number that I set as the warning threshold. Over there by the oil pressure and volts gauges.

The red light does flash when I run it up to 4000 like it is supposed to do.

Not true. My 03 Performance had the factory spoiler but I had to get the splash guards myself.

Can't find any instructions in the manual on how to get it to stop flashing.

I am not talking about the red warning light flashing below the tach - that does occur like it's supposed to. I am talking about the letters "RPM" in the trip odo display next to the oil pressure and volt gauges.

Any ideas?
I posted this earlier but didn't get any insight. Posting again hoping someone can clarify. Thanks.
