my 1st sports car i feel alive!
Despite what you read on this biased forum, the 350Z is not a pure bread sports car. It is simply a great GT car that shares many of its components with various other Nissan products (ie it weights as much as a alti and last gen maxima). Don't get me wrong, this is coming from a new proud 07 Z owner.
There is simply no pure sports cars you can buy at this price range. The only car that comes close is the S2k, a ground up design. At a 5k premium over a Z I simply could not have considered as its styled like a glorified miata and seriously underpowered at lower RPM. But, a true sports car, like a S2k, will outhandle the Z left and right due to far lower weight and better suspension design.

High end Sports Cars: Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc...
Mid range Sports Cars: Corvette, Viper, Porsche, Lotus, NSX, etc...
Low end Sports Cars: 350z, S2000, Miata, etc...
I guess if you wanted to be hardcore about the definition of a sports car (Unique chassis, 2 seats, weight/power ratio, etc..) then it would eliminate most of the above cars, it would also eliminate Lamborghini's from the list since Audi uses some of its chassis and engines in its own cars...
The days of sports car having there own unique chassis is pretty much over, almost all manufacturers are sharing there chassis between models now a days in order to cut costs and improve profits.

A regular caymen yes, but not an S. IMO. I'd take a 350Z over a regular Caymen anyday and so would my friend who's GF has that Porche.
What the heck. A sportscar is a relative term depending on what the options are at the time and perception.
Congrats!
