Well, about 2 years ago I found this site... always loved this car.
Read so many posts and learned what people were doing with this beast... got it in my head I HAD to have one.
Correction: became obsessed with this car. ;-)
I have been working a few years since College and finally was in a spot to do this.
I ordered her on October 11th, and she got here last night - January 8th 2008.







Got to the dealer after work and went through a very long series of paperwork.... all the norm..
This is the 2008 Grand Touring package. 6MT OF COURSE.
I had not ordered the xm-or navi.. but its a forced item on the 08's if you get a manual.. Quick note on the Navi/Bose 6cd xm system. It doesn't sound like the sort of custom install I do on my own.. but its a ton of fun.. the Navi and Xm were setup and work great... mp3 cd works all that.. The blue tooth over the speakers for phone... very neat... The home link for garage door .. awesome.

I had to get the GT mainly because I LOVE buttons and features... and this baby has em.

Anyway.. inside the dealer they had an 08 Nagro Red.-Touring.. I was just oogling it while I signed off the papers. Car-Taxes-Everything for 39K
So that's invoice plus 400dealer plus ~2,000 for the damn taxes around here. Not cheep, but definitely a decent deal for brand new factory ordered.
SO.. after I sign everything/read it word-for-word and was satisfied with everything... they say.. lets go find it!... We are walking outside and BAM! they had it right at the door... so clean ...
Seeing the Magnetic Black With the rays 19/18 wheels the brembos.. the burnt orange interior.. in the afternoon light... WOAH..
Black is THE only color for me. :-)
Was an ultra surreal experience. "What this is mine.. this is actually happening now?!"
Taking it home was way to cool... this car is just insane.. I love it.. everything about it.. So much more then I expected. I know there are many sides to the "breakin" method subject.. I'm just sensible about it.. keeping it under 4KRPM... not pounding it till 800 or so. Then OIL change at 1000 and yadyada.. we all know that stuff.
Drove around more today... wow. Just wow.
Simply great... this car fits me so well.
Never had anyone glance at my other cars... any light I am at in this.. there are sometimes finger pointers... :-)

Next up is the viper GPStracking/two way remote... clear bra and 15% tint.
Keep this baby secure from psychos.
Hopefully I can get it in this weekend.

EDIT: Just noticed that you are in Fort Collins. I have been up there a ton for business. I am partners with 6 banks up in that area. I will be up there again this year with some of my staff. Very nice place to live (minus the cold winters).

Yeah, luckly I can keep my old beater 4wd for when there is snow on the road... usually a day or two after any snow, the main roads are cleared. I finished moving all my junk to the basement so the Z can stay garaged at night.

Just gotta watch out for the icy roads at night after the snow melt freezes. Gotta keep it cool for a little break in, so im not pusing it where its going to spin out on me.


Asain Invasian, Hello whats up? Do you or someone you know who works at a greese monkey drive a black Z as well?? I see this one parked at a greese monkey very often. It'l be sick to meet up with other CO Z drivers when it warms up... go thrash on HW-14 along the Poudre!

 

Nope I dont know whose Z that is. It would be sick to set something up, we just need the weather to not be so ugly. Hollar if you see me sometime. Im a younger looking asian kid (18) haha.
