Default Daytona Blue Paint Job

This may be a stupid question, dont laugh if it is... Heh.
I want a brand new 350z for my new car, brand new. Now if i buy this year or next, or the next, is there a place that will paint a car daytona blue?
I dont know much on paint jobs, sorry. I am wondering if it was only a color that was used on the 350z =P or if it is a colour that i could ask a business to paint the car? Just go down and say i want Daytona Blue?

I know i am stupid =P but shh...

any shop can paint your car for the right price. Just make sure they do good work. Look to pay around 3-5k for a stock looking paint job without painting under the engine. if you want the engine bay painted as well, look to pay around 5-7k

I'd just find a nice used DB instead of going through the hassle of paying out the nose to paint a new car. If you're dead stuck on a new one, check out san marino blue. It's not light like DB, but IMO I think it's better looking, and I drive a DB Z!

Just noticed that you're from Canada too. Even though our dollar is on par with the US now, that estimate of 5-7k for a full on paintjob is probably low for the Canadian market. I went to a "reputable" shop in the lower mainland when I was inquiring about the price to change the colour on an old impreza, and I was quoted 8-10k CAD in late 2006. I really don't think you can be too picky. Either you're gonna have to get a used DB, or you're gonna have to get a new car and pay big bucks to get it painted (which imo isn't worth it).

Thank-you everyone!
Maybe next year there will be new colours?
How many colours do they usually replace each year?

I wouldnt expect many new colors for the '09 model. That might be the last for the 350z also :X

That is sad. Yeah i saw the concept idea... I realllly do not want the car if it looks like that Sorry but it makes me mad haha. I hope its slightly different from the 08. But not as gross as the idea for it. I have no problem with the back end. But the front throws me off. Why the last of the 350z? Are they going to go even higher with the number? Hah.

When I was ready to buy my new '07 last year, my first choice was the DB. Couldn't find one in 6mt Enthusiast trim anywhere in the SE at the time. Got a pretty deal on a PPW locally and been loving it ever since.

Good luck!

I just had my door painted DB. It came out great, but the paint was pricey. I paid $100.00 US, just for the base coat.
