UPDATE as of today the car was loaded on the transporter and is currently on the way to me! should be here wednessday or thursday. i asked my boss if i could have the following day off when the car arrives. her response: of course you can have a "paternity day off" when your baby arrives. how cool was that?

well for all those interested i will keep this post udated when the "baby" actually getshere in a couple days. then, the thread title will be answered--did i get a good deal or not?

I GOT A GOOD DEAL

Well it finally arrived today, and i couldn't be happier. as stated in one of the earlier post it was not an enthusiast, but a base model. however it does have the optional seat and side curtain airbags. still.....at 23,500 i feel comfortable that i got a good deal. it arrived today with 527 miles on the odo. it is everything i dreamed it would be and more. i bought this car sight unseen over the internet. and honestly i had never even test drove one. just knew that i wanted one. i took a huuge leap of faith and , well was NOT disappointed.

thanks to all who have replied in this thread. i am really enjoying my350z.com and all it has to offer.

day one--no tickets

That's great news. Who paid the $1,500 transportation cost?

why should they be ashamed of themselves?
false advertising?
trying to slip in an extra 1500.00?

I think "ashamed of themselves" might be directed at their advertising it as an Enthusiast. Glad to hear it worked out anyway.

latest update----as if i had any question regarding if i got a good deal or not. i am 110% sure i got a great deal. after negotiating with the dealer as to what they were going to do for falsely advertising my car as an enthusiast, they have decided to refund me 1000.00!! sooo that brings the total to....22,500 for an 07 base with only a little over 500 miles on it. i have looked and looked and have not been able to find a sweeter deal than that anywhere.
somewhere earlier in the thread someone had mentioned that the dealer i bought from was crooked and shady. in my experience they have made an excellent effort to "right" a "wrong". even though it has all worked out, i doubt i will ever buy another car sight unseen. i got lucky on this deal!
my car has a little over 1700 miles on it and i am still quite smitten with it. yeah i said smitten.
my only complaint is the lack of cruise control............maybe one day they will figure out how to add it.

you got carmaxed!! rofl, same **** happend to me. bought a 04, what i thought was an enthusiast, with 12k for 21,500. picked her up drove for 2 weeks, realized after doing some research, it was a base! rofl, took her back raised hell, got a lower mileage car, enthusiast in pww, which i really wanted, for almost the same price. you and i are not the only ones they've tried to screw using this technique. the last time i was up there, i showed them two more base Z being advertised as enthusiasts on their website and they couldnt have cared less.

I would honestly be pissed if I received a base when they reassured you it was an enthusiast. I also would have made them take the car back and pay for shipping both ways. 23500 for an enthusiast is a fantastic deal but for a used base...eh... not so much even with the 1k they refunded you. Either way....enjoy the car
