Just trade it in. The swap would cost too much on the front end and will kill resale.

Well i am pretty sure that i brand new transmission is like 2600. and a rebuilt one is like 1600 but then you would have to send in your transmission or they would charge you like800 bucks. i am not sure on the exact price on those, but thats just the start. you would need clutch works, body work to make the clutch pedal fit. then the new clutch itself, master cylinder. new computer formatting i believe...but what do i know. I would jsut trade it in saving you time money, warrenty, the factory manual will work. no garuntees on a swap

+1. This is the most logical thing to do unless you are somehow highly emotionally attached to your car.

Sale it, no need to go through all that work... TRUST me. I did it on my 3rd Gen RX7 but only because there very rare and it ant like I can just sell and buy another very easily, besides I upgraded the tranny, clutch and flywheel so it all came together very nice.

I don't feel retarded running a 11.3 @126mph in the 1/4 mile If you plan on going FI in the future the 5AT works well.

I think you should drive it straight into the nearest tree.

Why did you buy the car when you didnt want an automatic?? This doesnt make any sense.

What all do you have on that Z??? It has to be more then force injection breathing and exhaust can't improve the performance on a Car that much, can it?

11.3 @126mph in 1/4 mile is kicking a$$!! 5spAT at that.

OP I vote that you sale it, a trade usually they give you less because of their profit margin.

Forget it.

Easiest thing is to trade auto for MT. Least expensive solution is to sell & buy MT.

Probably cost you over 3k. I was in your shoes one time with my 5th gen prelude, although it was a rare car, the last year of the prelude, and the only year they made it in electro pearl blue. I ended up trading it in for the Z. The thought of dropping around 3 grand just to get me into basicly stock 5sp wasnt logical. If I had the 5sp already, I could have spent the 3k on FI. Granted, you cannot go FI in the Z for that cheap, but you can do something with that money...
