Default 350Z - VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control)

I am considering a roadster and am not certain between the Touring and the Grand Touring trims.

The main component that I am interested in is the VDC ... is it worth the $2,500 price diff??

I am concerned with safety would the VDC and Brembo brake system be considered safer for a regular driver -- think Sunday afternoon relaxed driver i.e. Automatic transmission

Please let me know whatever info you have

In winter, yes. Otherwise no.

If the Z will not be your daily driver, at least in winter, I'd save the money.

I will be driving in Montreal (canadian summers - through october) Then in Florida from October through May -

So Winters are really only in Florida - which does get a lot of rain

Grand Touring also gets Brembo brakes and lighter wheels!

Yeah but are the Brembo worth it if I do not do any hard driving - I am conecerned about the overall safety and that is why I wanted to know about the VDC -

In regard to the brembo are they only going to cost me more on maintenace and initial cost?

I'm not sure about the brembo's as I have an 03 Touring model. I do have the VDC and it has come in handy a few times when something pops up in a turn or if the road conditions aren't the greatest in the world. If I were to buy another Z I would def. make sure I got the VDC at least.

Btw, my regular breaks (non-Brembo's) work fine for me, don't see any huge need for them.

It does not sound like you are a real hard driver. Though the more safety devices the better, I suppose, I don't think you need VDC or Brembos if no snow/ice driving.

Regular brakes are just fine for normal driving.

Welcome. If you're looking at one of the higher spec'd ones, then it's either VDC or TCS, so if you need it, it's there.
