Wrx pros over 350 - I love the subtle sport hatchback look so I really liked having my wagon and the utility that came with it. AWD is a blast to just thoughtlessly throw it into a turn, punch it and have it just pull you through. I did like the ability to drive more than 1 friend around when needed. The wrx was also more comfortable all around for daily driving ride/seats/sitting position (but at the expense of some handling). The WRX could feel fun and fast at 60mph in some good turns and little risk of tickets or a high speed accident.
350 pros over wrx – Very aggressive styling, I like subtlety but its nice to have the average person appreciate what you’re driving sometimes. Large amounts of power for me, my last 2 cars were pretty much dead below 4k and you were constantly shifting to keep it in a good power range. Just the overall driving experience of the Z is better, very sharp responses, great road feel, very fast and fun to throw around.
the largest problem with going from the wrx to the Z besides the practical standpoint is that in the wrx, like I said, I could do 60 down backroad and have a blast without getting into a lot of trouble. Down the same road at the same speed with the Z it’s laughing at how slow I am and it feels like I’m taking a leisurely Sunday drive
. Overall I’m loving the Z experience and owning something I consider a real sports car. I don’t mind the harshness and even appreciate it, I love the respect I get from other car enthusiast (even some American muscle guys) I think I will enjoy this car for a long time, at least until I can trade it in on a 370z or a 335i (my next realistic dream car)
