Default No Z for me yet

But I just need a bit more for the down payment.

Went into a Nissan dealer looking for a 240sx and ended up test driving a 350z and falling in car love.

I've test drove it twice, and the 2nd time was even better than the first. I can't wait. I need more money. I need my Z.

So I'm here to be jealous of you all and hope to learn some things. I'm no gear head but I love to drive.

Thumbs up

If it's of any comfort, kid: I'm a 59-year-old-timer, & had to wait 36 yrs. for my Zed!!! I first saw the 240Z--belonged to a fellow sergeant in the A.F.--& fell in love with it right then & there, at San Anton', TX! So, relax m'friend, you're about to get your dream car!!!

Smart move. We have too many members who underestimated the total cost of driving a 350Z. They either end up car poor or selling the car.

yeah, i waited 43 yrs. Funny though, I didn't give a crap about Z's except my brother had two 240Z's that I liked. I went to buy a boxster, and didn't like it, so my wife decided (the boss) I should try a Z, and i freakin loved it. I've had it two years, and love it more each day. My buddy got a Cayman 2 days ago. Really pretty midnight blue, but with my PIAA rims, lowering and clear markers, etc. I honestly am not jealous....maybe a bit.
You won't be dissapointed when you get it.

just use the VDC/TCS & you'll have a better chance of getting to your destination safely.

cayman S has about the same HP as a Z so it would really come down to which is lighter and then the driver

Unless you are talking cost of the car itself, and possibly insurance (age/record pending), what's so expensive about owning a Z?? It costs no more to maintain then any other car. It's not like it requires special "Z specific" stuff.

Hell you can find many a barely used Zs for right at $20,000 now. So even the initial investment is pretty much on par with your average new car. You just get two less seats!

Driven both. Would take tha Cayman any day over the Z. I love my Z, don't get me wrong, but you can feel how the Porsche is 100% engineered for nothing but pure handling in any situation. And the quality is amazing. Even in the boxsters, which are their budget cars.

+1 almost happend to me. Buddy lied to me before I bought it. Turned out it needed a clutch and flywheel though too.
