The New Z
Hey guys. I just picked up an 05 35th Anniversary Z, Super Black. I've been fascinated with Zs my entire life, and it's a great feeling owning one now.

Thanks guys, Im looking forward to ordering my new wheels in the next few weeks. I built hot rods and sport trucks for a long time, so there is no way I can leave anything stock. Fortunate for me though, I was able to get all the factory warranties in place again, as well as some extra coverage so the drive train (which is amazing enough), will stay stock for quite some time.

As far as Jap cars go, for sure. I think other brand of car owners, in particular the European ones appreciate the Z history. For instance, the Z Club in NZ are the only Jap car club that are allowed to display at the doyen of car shows in NZ, the rest are all European cars. Often get a wave from Euro car drivers.
Yeah, the lifestyle and mindsets betwen American auto enthusiats and for lack of a better term, Foreign auto enthusiasts seem to differ. Once again, I've grown up in a hardcore General Motors family with a rich racing heritage. I myself have always been a SBC fanboy, and as mentioned earlier I've built hot rods, sport trucks, etc.. for a long time. I've always however tried to be an automotive enthusiast first, not sticking to anything genre in particular. When the oppotunity came up to own this car I absolutely could not pass it up. To all of us I'm sure, there are those iconic cars what we've always been passionate about, to me the Z was one of those. Being a GM guy, of course I obsess about owning 65 Chevy II, or as a hot rod builder, a tri-five Chevy/GMC truck. But I've always been obessed with the Porche heritage as well, and of course the Z. I am super excited about owning this car, now to make a few modifications lol.
