Default Getting Into A Z

I have been on this forum for quite a few days now, And I have always wanted a Z. I Currently Drive a 2002 kind of modified vw gti 1.8T with only 41k miles. I am 17 years old turning 18 in April. My dad wanted to get me a 350z as my first car when i started driving at 15 in a half. But I decited i loved the Gti that my brother owned, so I took that over, Now i am ready to move on and sell my car, I am most likely going to be getting into a 350z with in the next 2 months. anything I should look out for?

im thinking about gettin a used one 03-05 for about 17-18 thousand with a bit lower miles, as for of killing anyone in it while drive, not to be cocky but i think ill be able to handle it, my cars pretty powerful its self but yet it is a front wheel drive, i have driven my cousins 450hp sti but thats awd and i have driven a lot of rear wheel drives, most powerful one my brothers mpackage 540i bmw, had it sideways a few times a couple times accidently but gained control quick

my dads a bit worried about gettin me a rear wheel drive since im so young but i think ill be fine and drive safely around others

yeah dont worry, i just jumped from a 97 honda prelude to a 03 z and ive been driving safely around others, you just gotta play it safe and not unleash the full potential of the car until you know for a fact you can handle it

Are you serious? Your dad wanted you to get a 350Z at 15 1/2? There's no way in hell I would want my kid driving this car that young!

I think they are thrown off by the fact that it seems as if your dad is paying for your Z himself and most of the time when parents buy their kids cars the kids are retarded with them. Plus i know i have seen/heard of quite a few Z's wrapped around telephone poles and Nismo's going "out of control" at 20MPH with 17-19 year old driving one and there goes insurance for everyone else. I myself am 18 as well and i don't plan on being dumb because i value my life (lost my mother in a car crash) but i agree with the older members when they say "oh god" hearing another 18 year old has a Z

Jesus christ people, it's funny the first few months but this flaming really needs to stop.

Yes he's young, sure he should buy it on his own, and all that ch!t but not everyone is in your shoes, some are better off than others. The kid asked an legit question and this turns into a flame-fest.

Why not just help him with what the forum is designed to do (Help others). Keep the flaming in the Off-topic.

I am getting sick for going in about every thread on the forum and it being a flame-fest, it's seriously getting out of hand. Mods need to do some clean-up.

Anyways...at the subject at hand...

I am most likely going to be getting into a 350z with in the next 2 months. anything I should look out for?
If you can swing for a 2007-08, you are likely to have less problems than the other years, plus you get 306hp opposed to the older years, plus it's newer and will come with a warranty. Are you looking for a manual? Automatic? What's you budget? Things like this will get you to the answer more quickly.

thanks alot man but i am lookin for a manuel, i really dislike automatics, 07-08 sounds real nice with the 306hp but its just not in my budget, im lookin to spent mostly 18,000$ possibly do a trade in for my 02 gti with 41k miles on it, but thats not so sure becuase im sure i can get more out of a private sell.
