Just bought a 2005 Track!
Hey everyone!
First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Nick and I work/live in Kennesaw,GA. I've been into sports cars all of my life but this is my first Z.
I've mainly been into Corvettes since I started driving. My first car was a 1988 Corvette coupe that I just sold YESTERDAY!
However, I recently started a new job ( just graduated from the University of Georgia) and started looking for newer cars and ended up with a wonderful 350Z Track edition.
I bought it from a dealer up in Cumming, GA. It's a 2005 with just under 29K miles.
Brembos, 18in Rays, HID's...you know what comes with the track edition etc.
Anyways, here's some lousy pics. I snapped 'em Wednesday night after I bought the car. I'm planning on detailing it tomorrow so I'll get some better ones after I throw some Zaino or NXT on the car ( not decided on which one I want to apply yet).
I look forward to being a part of this forum though! I've posted on peachstateposse.com ( GA Corvette/sports car site) and corvetteforum.com over the past 6 years so I'm definitely into the whole sports car forum thing.
I've gotta get those friggin "Andean" front bumper tag, and rear vinyl off of the car. Looks sh!tty...
Thanks for lookin!

Haha yea. I gotta get that **** off of there.
Not sure about the front license plate mount though. Looks like its drilled into the front bumper..if not I know there will be still some scratches. I'll have to check it out tomorrow when I detail it.

I took mine out. There are some holes there, but they don't bother me as much as the damned plate. I took mine off all together because I hate from plates; always have.
I would go straight to an aftermarket bumper so you don't go OCD about the holes. It's what I'm doing as we speak. It's definitely hot, though. Congrats again!

Oh and to the question about how the Z compares to the C4 '88 vette:
Well to tell ya the truth, the Z is a superior car in every way. It's just newer and has the benefit of better technology and engineering. The Vette was a great car for me though and I hope the Z lasts just as long.
As far as driving goes, the Z is just "tighter" for lack of a better term.
No creaks and rattles that I had in the Vettes and if I hit a bump I dont feel like the car is going to fall apart.

Congrats Nick Lovin the color it looks pretty well kept. I agree with the over members. Get rid of that shitty dealership sticker. If you detail your new Z go with NXT That stuff is the ****. NXT= FTW. Good luck with the Z your really going to love it over your 88 vette.

I LOVE the C6. My main issue was money. I wanted something relatively new, that was reliable, fun and good looking.....AND under $18k.

Welcome, and congratulations! Wait till you take your Z to the track. You'll be amazed how it handles, and I guarantee you it'll handle much better than your Vette.
One word of advise with our Zs -- don't let the "mod" bug bite. When it bites, it bites hard.

I've got some ideas about what I would like to do to the car eventually...
Stereo, wheels, exhaust, and tint and thats about it. We'll see how that goes though!
