yea the walmart i went to did have cameras. and the funny thing was that my car was parked in the 3 spot in front of the main entrance right next to the light post with the security camera. the investigator told me that the video tape is under investigation and that they spotted not one person but three different people who did a 360 around my car. but the stupid thing was that none of the security guards ever approached any of the 3 suspects. but its all good cuz im using that against walmart security at court.

I don't think you can get Walmart with anything because they are not held responsible in any way! I know everyone has seen those signs in the parking lot that say things like, "park here at your own risk, if sh*t happens it ain't our problem, not responsible for anything"! Whether you read them or not they still apply. "Not knowing isn't an excuse!"

Anyways, good job getting a lawyer, private investigator, and stuff to help you out. Make sure you make Nationwide pay out their a** for everything and then some....

After they pay you out you should drop them. Thats bs that they would put u thru this. I have esurance and so far they have been great. Some a**hole tried to steal my prelude and failed but....... they managed to cause 4000 in damage. within a week i had a check for the repairs. I kno its not the same as gettin it stolen but the service was on point.

oh yea.. it stated that i was given 3 keys total. 2 keys with alarm remote and 1 service key. and i had all 3 of them when i met up with the investigator. All i can say about nationwide is that they are full of s*** and im never going to insure my cars with them. btw i just got my call from them and they are going to pay for the whole damage on the car and they also giving me some extra cash for the hassle they put me through and today im going back to the body shop to tell the mechanic to start ordering all my new parts, and to start putting my baby back together only now with a fresher new look!!!!!

(results were that fingerprints were not mine or any of my friends). I had purchased my car used and got if from the Toyota Mall of Georgia dealership located on Buford hwy in GEORGIA. while the investigation is going through ive had people and friends help me with some financial issues for the moment. and some are helping me with purchasing body kits for my car to have it look like i had it before. today i had the insurance pay me some money since they did not issue me a rental car, which is helpful in some way. i appreciate all of your guys comments and advice.

thanx to all of you guys.. and soon i SHALL have my Z back and better than before.
unfortunately im going to have to disagree with you. Nationwide has always been great to me, and i would never think about switching.

Question 350niZmo, if they're claiming that it had a key in the ignition, have you seen said key yet, does it match the others you have???????? You get where I'm going with this???!!! Generally all the keys are matching. I had 4 sets originally with my car, all look exactly the same.

Sorry to hear about this and wishing you the best of luck. They WILL end up paying; it will just take some work in the beginning.

On a related note, Wired magazine ran a story last year about insurance companies refusing to pay for stolen cars equipped with transponder-based keys if those cars were later found with miles on them but without any damage to the steering column. Their claim was that since the cars could not have been driven without the proper key, it proves that there was no theft and the owner is attempting to commit fraud. The article listed countless real world examples of people who have been screwed over this way by Geico and others who are stuck making payments on cars they no longer have. Many still had cases pending in courts with computer scientists and ex-cons as their expert witnesses testifying that transponders can certainly be defeated by the right crooks.

Thankfully, State Farm (my insurer) wasn't listed in any of the examples but I was spooked enough to call them and get assurance (take that for what it's worth!) that they don't operate this way.

ive got a clifford alarm (with some pretty nice upgrades) for 500$. In addition i also have an autolock attached to my clutch. If the bastard is really desperate, he'd have to tow my car in the middle of the night, with my alarms going off and must be done within 2 minutes. after 2 minutes, I would be beating him down with my breaker-bar. good luck with that.
