I've thought about the Z but I am not sure I would feel comfortable out there in a convertible??
Na, get that Mini out there on the track. The Z Club in NZ does lots of inter club events with the Mini Club, and those little things go really well, doesn't matter how old or new. A lot of the Mini's are fairly modified, a few running superchargers etc. The old Mini's are great for what we call a grass gymkhana, so autox'ing on grass, rallies etc. Worst I've ever seen is one of the guys tyres came off the bead, but that was his fault for under inflating the tyres thinking that would give him more advantage over everyone else.

Quite a few who race their convertibles, both on this forum and elsewhere.
