And there's something to be said for doing your own work.....

Ac Belt = $30 max. And is a 2 on the difficulty scale to replace.

Seat Motor may be semi-expensive (Not $1000!!!) but for 1/4 that price you could of bought someone's OEM seat off ebay with a working motor. Then spent 15mins taking out the 4 bolts and replacing your old one with it! Then sell yrou old seat for $100 with a broke motor!

Neither one of these items require any extensive mechanical experience to fix.

FYI the Z as a whole is an easy car to maintain. Contrary to how some on this forum feel, it's not an exotic sportscar that requires specialized care. It's no more difficult, nor does it require any more attention then any other Nissan or car. So don't let maintnance, or any other minor repairs cause you to shell out money to someone else trying to gouge you cause "it's a Z". Once you fix all your little problems all used cars come with, just change your oil and do your regular maintnance, and you'll be fine!

Sad to hear you've found one that hadn't been looked after. Previous owner probably thought, I can't be bothered to fix so just flicked the car or maybe he was over quoted similar to what's happened to you. Anyway, get it all fixed up, maybe somewhere different to where it's at, and you'll be fine. They're basically a fairly reliable car. And cars cost money to have on the road.

Oh, and ps, if I'd recommend to anyone buying a pre-loved car to checked or get it checked over first irrespective of it's from a dealer or not.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.
