Came home with a new toy
Well this is what happens when you take your Nissan Titan in for service and your friend asks you to look in to a price on the brand new 2007 Nismo 350Z car#606 still sitting on the showroom floor at the dealership you both go to. Stupid me I had to ask what they wanted for the car. The price was so good I couldnt pass it up. So instead of telling my friend, I purchased the car for myself. OOPS.
I still have the Titan.

It's ugly, it's already proved that. LOL
But I have no real hostility with it. It does look great with a drop, new wheels, a new front bumper, skirts, etc.....
But the 350 looks so much better IMHO. Especially the Nismo. The only thing with that is, when I bought my Z, it was choice between the ZR I bought and the red Nismo they had on the floor. And after reading the window sticker of the performance parts on the Nismo but seeing the same HP output for roughly 10k more I couldn't justify buying one.

Well definitely not a rich guy. Otherwise I would have a much bigger garage to keep my toys in.
As for the Vector, I use to work for Vector Aeromotive in Wilmington California. After many years of working there and then the hostile takeover, I spent many years being very bitter. My GF at the time suggested that I find one of the 17 production cars and buy it to recapture my youth. back in 2000, it was my Christmas gift to myself.
My particular car was the Singapore Motorshow showcar. It is one of the healthier cars of the 17 production cars. It puts out 749hp at 8lbs of boost and a tick over 650 lbft of torque. With 14 lbs of boost and 110 octane fuel the car produces a hair over 1200 hp and over 925 lbft of torque.
It is a Ferrari and Lambo Killer. There are only a hand full of cars on planet earth that will out run the car. Its top speed is 242 mph.
It was Americas shot that was heard around the world and the answers back were the Jaguar XJ220, Bugatti EB110 and McLaren F1. None of which ever dethroned the W8 for its top speed. McLaren did one run with a taped up LM car on the Autobahn at night and hit 242.1 mph after removing the rev limiter on the ECU programming. They then touted that they built the worlds fastest production car, when in reality none of the F1's have ever eclipsed 231 mph.
Not that any of that matters any more, but it makes the Vector a unique part of American history. Its a fun car to own and I enjoy looking at her every day.

Yeah, I drove it.
It was a hands down choice for me......PPW grand touring with burnt orange vented seats and a drop top. I haven't seen myself come or go once since I bought the car

Wow, a Vector W8. Can you post pics of the interior and engine?
This is like a barn yard find. I look at your driveway, lawn, neighbors and would never think that a $400k car resides in your garage.
