Reminder I'm a newbie just bought a 350z and just getting familiar with car technology. However I went to ebay and noticed these chips claiming un realalistic gains for way to low of a price!! Anyone with sense would be skeptical of such scene. I had a friend a few years back used to race motorcycles and he claimed he had a performance chip that made it possible for him to go way beyond 160mph. This was probably a real mod Where do I get the legitamit gas saver/HP maker, And yes I am aware 60 ponies and 60 more miles per gallon cannot be achieved by a stupid chip alone

If it's really cheap and offers high performance paired with great mpg, don't you think nearly all the members here would have it on their Z?

A performance chip will only get you about 20 horsepower. 60 horsepower is ridiculous. You would need 3 chips.

 

Ok, guys I get the point!! Ha Ha... So which chip and which company should I go with, Once again I know a reasonable gain without any serious mods, w/ just a chip is goin to be around 10 hp/5 to 6 mile to the gallon, "this is what I'm looking for" a real chip and a real answer. Anyone can sit there and make fun of someone not familiar with the performance scene. I sence a lot of arogance in this forum.

 

this forum is a bastion of knowledge if you are smart enough to not ask stupid questions. you ask stupid questions, you get stupid answers.

that being said, you aren't going to find a chip with even 10hp and 5-6mpg gains, that's silly.

if you want some decent gains you are looking at spending some real money hardware wise, and a nice tune. don't expect mpg gains.

All that talk, and all the kid needs to know is TECHNOSQUARE. About $550, they reprogram your computer. Sport Compact Car had dyno sheets for the results a few months back. Something like 30 lbs. torque gain in the lower end of the rpm band, 7000 rpm rev limit, blah, blah. Also search UPRev Osiris or just look in the Tuning subforum.

 

jwr best advice for you is to stick around and not post for at least 3 months...There is soo much info on these forums that 99% of your questions will have all been answered. This is what i did, for countless hours I continued to search and learn

 

before you consider a technosquare ECU reflash, or Osiris/tuning, make sure your performance mods are hammered out. you'll have have to get it retuned again after your mods otherwise.
