Default New 08 350Z owner from Chi-town!

Hello guys,

I want to stop by and say hello to everyone here.
I bought a new red 08 350Z Enthusiast 6-speed about 3 weeks ago. I went to the dealership intending trade my 07 2.5S Altima to get an 08 red 350z Nismo, but walked away with this one. I was thinking of getting the new 370Z, but don't want to deal with bugs and dealer's mark-up price. Besides, I got this Z used with 5K miles for only $21K.

I've made a list of upcoming mods.

1. Replace license plate light to white led
2. Replace map light to blue led
3. Install footwell led light
4. Replace OEM HID bulb to 6000K
5. Replace turn signal bulbs to chrome amber bulbs
6. Replace parking light bulbs to white led
7. Replace orange side reflectors to clear reflectors
8. C-West carbon fiber lip kit
9. Nismo V2 wing
10.19" Axis super hiro w/ red strips
11. Greddy Evo2 full cat exhasut
12. JWT or Stillen or Injen dual air intake (not sure yet)
13. Motordyne plenum spacer
14. Paint brake calipers to red color
15. Taillight overlays
16. Tint
17. Bumper tuck (free!)
18. Upgrade Sound system (first must-do mod!!!)
My new Z

Hey we bought our cars around the same time. Which dealership did you get yours from?

congrats!

for your future mods, i'd suggest getting the spacer first...but definitely read through the intake & exhaust section (i wish i kept my stock intake instead of the K&N short ram i have now)

I'll try to get the spacer first as well. Did you notice a big gain when you replaced the plenum spacer? Is it a easy DIY job?

you might want to hold off on that since they don't make plenum spacers for the HR engine.

unless something changed.

Why is your first must do mod on the bottom of the list?

Ah I think I remember seeing that car when I was shopping. I got mine from a small used car dealership

Because it was the last mod I thought of , but ended up the 1st must-do mod.

I didn't know that. Hopefully, they still make those for our HR Z's.
