Default 2002 350z Track spec?

Hello guys and girls,

I've been looking at many threads on this forum and I finally got my Z today.

I'm from New Zealand, and bought an imported 2002 350z.
Silver,
59xxx km, 37xxx miles.
$25000 nzd, $13200 usd.

So now that I got it I'm finding a few minor faults.
I was given 3 sets of keys, 2 with buttons and a spare.
One of the button ones don't work so I'll take it to the dealer to see whats the story. Also my drivers side LOCK doesn't lock when I press the 'Lock all' button on my panel, where the windows controls are.

Also need an Instruction Manual. That should be ok.
Apart from that I'm quite happy with my car. Will take photos tomr.
It's stock and fresh from Japan, the stock airfilter is super clean.

One question though, I'm starting to doubt whether it is a track spec.
I read the 'easy way to tell' but I'm quite confused.

I have heated seats with the buttons in the centre console, near my cup holder. (Touring?)

I have brembo brakes. A vdc button on the right of my steeringwheel. (My car is RHS) (Track?)

My seats are Leather.

Question two.

My Z also comes with the Japanese NAV system, A dvd deck behind drivers seat and also syslink? button near the glasses holder.

Does anyone know how to 'reboot' or reload the system to be used on overseas roads?

Question three.

I see that alot of vendors or online shops state that parts are 'made for' 03+.

My Z happens to be 2002, do I still fit in that category or is there something particularly inferior with the 2002 versions?

Hope I don't sound too noob. Mean time I'll browse the forums more and learn more. There is so much information on here!

Hope I get to meet you all.

Syar.

First Z was 03 but were available in last quarter of 02. For example, I bought my 03 in 12/02.

Models sold outside of US had different combinations of features than US Zs.

Hey Syar, quite surprised to see another NZ'er on the boards, there are way more of us, back home. http://www.zclub.org.nz.

The Jap spec/import ones come with many options so without seeing it, hard to know. Does it have the Bose too?

Anyway, look up the pep's in NZ, flick up a post there and we'll answer your questions for you. There's a good number of us, we have awesome events, got a track day in a couple of weeks if you are into that at Taupo.

See you there.

After more reading, I'm beginning to think my car is Grand Touring spec, not track spec.

my very stock car

All Japanese, I want to somehow convert this into English/ use it in New Zealand, if anyone has any idea on how to do this please let me know.

Also has a dvd player behind drivers seat

The Jap import earlier models generally come with a version "T" or "S" spec.

Interesting place to have the dvd player, not a bad idea. With regards to the sat nav, most that have import models here struggle with getting it sorted.
