08 Blk Enth. MT
Hello to all whom I've read through over the last 4 years or so, I learned a lot but just a tiny % of it all .. now for some 'hands-on' effort, though I wouldn't call it work, more like practice. A driver of mostly MT econoboxes, an AT Merc 230ce in Stuttgart (G) and Oslo (N) for some years, and lastly a Prelude 2.0 Si with 50k onto which I put 133k miles, AT, which I'm giving away -lots of new parts in it after all. It was time, for the car, and me: hit the 5 - Oh some weeks back, and things came together, including this site, which informed me on many issues from the early 03 models through the 07's.
Yesterday I drove the 2008 Enthus. w/ just a bit less than 4k miles on it, payed 23K, which I thought was good given it's condition, which was on the pristine side, and just a tad higher on Edmunds.com TrueMarketValue for the area, but, that was assuming a Base. 24.59K w/Tax.
Used Edmunds auto trader, and after a few days of waiting due schedule matching, it was over. One dealer here wanted 28.5K for 2008 Base OTD, another had to go to Az. to find an '08 at all, so not a big decision point. I did see a White MT model in Titusville for 23.3 OTD w/ 148m!? online but decided it was a bit 'too good 2 b true' plus a couple hour drive to get there.
The Z; my driving mixes my experiences decades ago from Seoul -never learned- with Napoli -no rules- and Autobahn -no max in left, faster through the fog-, none of which is appropriate here, except perhaps out rocky mountain way. Perhaps it's the color or the MT (probably 306 HP has something to do with it) or all those econoboxes, but when traffic doing 80, and they look like they're standing still, I'm in Z mode, which isn't bad as long as it lasts, and I hope it lasts a good 15 years. Now, gotta get a new radar detector first thing ..

Just drive a slow regular car and your regular 350z suddenly becomes fast again. I always welcome that thrilling feeling everytime I get back to driving my Z after borrowing parent's car for a day or two.
Congrats. That sounds like a great deal. I got my 2004 base with 20k miles in 2006 for 23k. Then again that was when the economy was doing well.
Enjoy!

Thx for commenting; now it's 'do I need to get that dual pivoting rotary polisher', 'will ethanol break down the rubber/fuel lines', 'this wheel seems a bit hard, is the power assist working', 'ok, overlapping ratios, 1or2-3-4or5-6', 'shift down 1 with a 500 blip in slow mode'; but I made 25mpg driving around suburbi-villes to light-traffic inner highways in max torque envelope, so I can't complain; just a few down from a 2.0 4cyl. w/135 max hp that I never saw, so that is good performance on top of great! & y I was a lurker but in a good way .. .. and it payed off as I received a deeper understanding of Z design issues from hardware to maintanence reqs.. Really tho', if you want a RWD, 2-Door, and with that red disk hi-reliability Consumer Rpt's seal of approval {09 CR looking back to 08}, the last of which seems to exclude every continent, is there any choice in the matter?
