The obvious thing with a 2007 is the bulging bonnet, 2006 and before don't have it.

This might help a bit:

06 6mt, 18000 on the odo, beginning at 1500mi, used mobil1 full sythetic once, then at 2000mi, changed to valvoline full synthetic at 2000mi intervals. My 350Z has never consumed/used any oil or had signs of burning/consuming. I guess I lucked out some. I check the dipstick every 1000mi or so and its going to be a hit or miss for you. Of about 100 350Z owners I know less than 5 I know had this oil consumption problem with their 350z. Full synthetic is good for more miles between change intervals than what I have chosen.

Unfortunatley you will have to own the car for a little while before you will know if you have a OC problem.I have a 06 and what I do is check the oil about a 1000 miles after the oil is changed. When you check it if the oil level is not full then you probabley have a OC problem.
