It's mostly done for noise cancellation. The only time I do that is when I'm going on the interstate. It's loud enough to begin with... :/

LOL obviously someone didn't read the whole post. The entire thing was sarcastic. Seeing as I'm a *****, know nothing about cooking, etc.
