lol thanks again all of you for the warm welcome I am glad you guys aren't slamming me for being a ford owner lol. I am just a fan of all nicely built cars, regardless of where it comes from because we all know that you can make anything fast, just depends on who you know, what you know, and what you're willing to spend

You do have a great looking car and as much as we will all want to rag on you for driving a Ford, we are all car lovers and appreciate those who love their rides.

lol good to see there are former mustang guys here... I almost pulled the trigger on the Z but it's the two seater concept that turned me off because I always drive with three or more in the car... would've been a good excuse to net let people ride in my car though lol

True that lol. How much is the avg drivetrain loss in the Z? How about weight? Just curious as to the gearing as well because it seems to me that when I race them from higher speeds with similar mods to what I have in my car, they pull in either 3rd or 4th (60 roll) on me pretty good and I don't catch them until I hit about 100, which quite frankly I am not used to lol. I walk the G35 and G37s all day no prob, but the Z is a sneaky bastard lol

^ Sweet mustang... Was looking at getting a GT500 but got a house instead.

What do you think about the 2010 "freshening up". I stopped and looked at one last week. Really sharp looking IMO.

We have a few fanboys on here but that's to be expected on any car forum.

I like it a lot, only thing is that the rear looks like crap IMHO... but, as with anything, the more I see it, the more it seems to be growing on me. Took one out for a test drive and that thing chirped third stock!

The interior looked great too IMO.

Did they do anything to the engine? I thought it was just an exterior update?

It just looks slightly more refined IMO.

I always like the louvers on Mustangs. Makes it look a lot like the '60s fastbacks. Great looking stang!

Much more refined ride, it actually feels alot more like my moms Navigator than it does a Mustang. The engine has the new CAI from the Bullitt mustang gts' from the last two years standard and they also have the Bullitt tune, which is for the CAI and to adjust the timing for different octane's to avoid leaning out the engine

87 to 93 and it will actually gain hp... when I got mine and it was bone stock and didn't know crap about the mustangs, I actually filled it a few times with the 93 octane thinking it gave me like a million more hp... I dyno'ed it with the 93 and bone stock and it made 256rwhp. Threw it on the dynojet again the week after right before some mods with 87 octane and nearly the exact same temps and conditions, and it made 269rwhp! How's that for a lean out!

lol same dyno... crazy isn't it? Without the tune there, the engine just cuts out so much timing

clean stang, Neighbor down the street just traded his I believe 08-09 shelby for the new 2010 shelby. Not a fan of the light blue color he got but still looks good.

What else do you plan on doing??? Any FI in the future

For now, I'm trying to break into the 11s N/A, then I would like to see if I can hit a 10 second pass on juice because the car is a daily driver, and the power I'm looking to make will not be able to be done on this engine. I am in the process of buying a second 4.6l 3V engine with 10k miles or less and building and stroking it from a 281 to a 302, along with some ridiculous custom grind cams and then adding a whipple supercharger (3.4l, it's nickname is blowzilla) and it can pump out up to 35psi and people have squeezed out over 800rwhp on pump gas with all other supporting mods in place

I love turbo in cars, don't get me wrong, but the whine of a supercharger is what sells it to me and there's the fact that with turbo's, my car would be a whole lot quieter, and I'm your typical mustang guy who likes it loud. The whipple blower, when tuned correctly (one of the best tuners for stangs actually has his shop about an hour away from me), have been able to make 17-18 city and 34 highway mpg, even while staying in boost (or at least anything short of 20psi). Plus, turbo's will break my tranny lol. One guy who sent his car down from georgia, bone stock and maintaining the sleeper look, made 522rwhp and an absolutely ridiculous 675rwtq on a twin 62 turbo system (either sts or turbonetics). His car is whisper quiet it's absolutely insane
