Yea thats true, but the truely sad part being, the cumstain has a 4.6ltr V8 that puts out LESS horsepower than my 3.5ltr V6, which is my main reasoning behind saying "not enough". For a so called "muscle car", the mustang GT is pretty sad.
cumtain huh? Kinda sad but my N/A tiny pathetic less power than your v6 muscle car would walk you by a buslength with the same mods, check my sig out, but hey I won't get into this because I love all cars and appreciate the things they are capable of, even if you don't really know what you are talking about. I will agree that the output should be higher, but that is why the mustang has been on an uninterrupted streak since the 60s unlike the vette and the camaros. It's all about appealing to the masses with them, and by using essentially the same engine that they have in the explorers and other cars and just switching the material of the block, the result is the small 300hp. Ford decided to step things up a bit now and for 2011 is bringing out the DOHC 5.0L 4V V8, which will make 400/400 to the crank, more than plenty of power to walk you and the camaro like a dog, simply because it will still weigh 3400lbs, just slightly over what you weigh and still 500 less than the maro. Sorry guys rant over lol
sigh I knew you would get into the car vs car debate ****. bench racing ftl. be the bigger man, if you're going to have nothing to do with 350z's and come on a 350z forum, you should know better.
you're right, it just burns me up when someone says something like that when I came into here with open arms trying to figure out more about a great rival of a car
You know what I mean bro, kinda like the whole thing between the skyline and the supra, the z06 and the viper, mustang and the camaro, those are all kinda like rivalries, I just like the thought of the Z as a great "rival" of a car at the track and such for the mustang
Welcome.
I agree, not enough power for a muscle car. Sure its cheaper to mod and bump up power but you can only use so much on the twisties which is where this car excells in. I dont think the Z is the Jap equivalent to a stang.
I autocrossed with 3 stangs the other day. They beat my times but only because they had so much done to the suspension. I was all stock besides a CAI which probably only changes the exhaust tone. Also it was my first time tearing it up in my car but thats not a fair excuse. Those newer stangs can pull some decent g's at the auto-x track but their natural habitat has always been the dragstrip.
