Default New 350z Owner - Pictures Inside - Advice Needed

Hey guys I just wanted to say that its great to finally be apart of the 350z community. I look forward to getting to know the people on the boards.

I just picked up a Chrome Silver 350z yesterday. I got a good deal on the vehicle, but the seller was very shady and I knew there were a few things wrong, but I picked it up anyways. The things I was aware of at the time, it was abused, there is stuff hanging like HID balasts by duck tape, the exhaust is torn up from the bottom, the 4 wheels on the car are shot, passenger side window doesn't move, and the adjustability on the drivers side seat as far as tilting the top portion of the seat is out. Taking this into consideration, I drove the price down quite a bit, but there were a few things I didn't realize until after I had purchased the vehicle.

I took it to inspect it and test drove it (did not push it - big mistake) and it drove fine. Today I took it out for the first time after buying the car and in fourth gear I give it 3/4 throttle and the clutch is slipping and that the rear struts that push up the hatch are shot. This really put a big damper on my day knowing that I have to go and replace that clutch.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum section to ask in, or should I post this in another part to get more coverage, but how do I proceed from here in regards to the clutch. I want to get the thing replaced tomorrow before things get too bad. As far as just labor goes, I've been quoted from 280 - > 350 from four different shops. What kind of clutch should I go with as a factory replacement?

Are there any reputable places online that you guys can confirm have good rating/business practice that could give me a good deal on a respectable aftermarket OEM replacement clutch kit like exedy, act etc. I look forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks

Edit: Here's a picture -

Search the vendors site, they have awesome deals. Fellow members also are selling brand new clutch kits, check those out in the classified section as well. As for labor time, $250-300 sounds right.

Clutch recommendations are in the drive train forum. Lots of possible choices.

Some tuner shops stock clutches. Some shops will add a labor surcharge for bring-your-own parts.

Ask for a shop recommendation in your regional forum.

Personal recommendation: Do not shop for a installer by price. Shop for an installer with 350Z experience.
