hey congrats on the Z! it's a great car and you'll enjoy it.
Don't worry about the bashing on this forum, just know that you're lucky and you have a great car and welcome to the fam.

my first car was a 68 camaro. I ran it into a bus stop sign (to avoid rear ending a family van), and I spun it out of control in the rain on downward offramp and couldn't stop the tank from moving, hit the rear fender and dented it a little.

it sure was cool getting all the attention that I got with that car, but I'll be damned if I wasn't young and stupid and could have prevented every accident. I wish I would have had a beater for the first few years of driving, there are somethings you just don't learn without experience, and some things you have to learn the hard way.

I sold it, probably for about 4 grand less then I could have gotten, had I not ran it into **** as a young stupid teenager.

the only thing you have going for you is that you have better technology to keep your *** on the road, and slow you down faster. just because I ran a nice first car into things doesn't mean you will, but the odds are definitely against you. especially since you got the car scott free?

do you have to do any sort of work or payment towards it? you would most definitely appreciate it more if you had to work your *** off for it.

/end lecture. enjoy. glad to see you have thick skin, you won't make it on this forum if you don't.

Congrats and enjoy the Z, its a great car.

Now down to business...

My first car was a 76 Trans Am with a 400 and yes I smacked it doing about 80mph behind a grocery store. We do stupid things when we are young. Its just the way it is. That's why we give you a hard time.

Dont do anything stupid

Congrats on the car, these guys are right... I personally had a Civic as a first car and even though it was slow i still raced the crap out of it... when were young we do stupid things... and it doesn't stop there... there are still adults doing stupid **** as well.

Enjoy the car, be safe and DEFINITLY park it elsewhere... if you cant park in the faculty parking then don't bring it to school... no matter the temptation... i had someone leave a half eaten hamburger on my trunk for no apparent reason... kids just mess with nice cars just because they dont have them... so be smart about it.

wanna race??? lol

Just be safe.

If you IQ is higher than your age, unlike most other teens, you should survive perfectly fine.
