Kind of new member! :)
Hey everybody, I got my 2006 350z base about 2 months ago, and I finally got a chance to wash it and take pics! Since I'm a senior in high school right now, I'd like to drive it for 1 year before I make any mods.

My car is very swirly right now
and also some guy just dinged my door today at school, even though I was parked on the side of a street!
All comments are welcome!
btw, its a 2006 base 6 speed MT with a new v2 engine. The dealer bought it from an auction, and before that it came from NNA because of lemon law/manufacturer buyback. I've driven it about 700 miles since buying it, and so far there is no oil consumption problem!!!

thanks! i shall, i shall!!
I was thinking maybe doing some small mods first, like taking the 350z emblem off, and painting some stuff black such as the door handles and the side markers. I like the completely blacked out look.
Any suggestions for other small mods? oh ye, I remembered something about demon eyes, I might want to do that. but suggestions I like
Who are Hraes and Doug? are they the überflamers? haha

uhohs... I paid $21k after 4 year bumper to bumper warranty and registration and taxes, etc!
It is in pretty good condition, and I haven't found a deal that is close to what i got it for online...
Everything I've seen that is black and enthusiast at ~$20k is like 50-70k miles. Base is like 30-40k miles, and mine is ~41k miles with engine and transmission replacement at 40k miles.
Did I get ripped off? (I paid for the car, not parents)

also I want to add that since it is a 2006 model, I expect it was only the oil consumption problem that caused the manu buyback...
On the lot I saw a 2007 white base 350z for the same price with aftermarket stuff already on it, including wheels and exhaust, + I don't know what else. I chose the 2006 because it was black, and because the 2007 was already modded. I didn't want to get a premodded one and then have the risk of being surprised with bad choices, etc.
Also, I thought the VQ35DE revup had more engine modding options than the VQ35HR, due to more space under the hood...
Do you guys think I made the right choice? What would you have chosen?
(btw no oil consumption @ 700 miles)

I edited my original post. Didn't mean to sound like a jagoff... I'd say $17k tops. But atleast you got the warranty... KBB is $21k but again take into account the market and the fact that it was a lemon.

oh, yea it was $17.5k before the warranty. I got the 4 year full warranty: $50 for any repair bumper to bumper. They also "touched up" the door handles (inside the car, around the window controls) because they were really scratched up, and a small scratch on left rear fender.
and no, u didn't sound like a jagoff haha, I like all comments

they said it made no difference if cash or not, so no. Also, my old car died so I needed to get a car fast. I went to three dealers, and only one had a black 6spd 350z. All three dealers only had base 350z's, so I assumed that a black nonbase would be even rarer. Thus, I chose the one I got, and got it the same day I test drove it. on a side note, I learned how to drive manual in the other 350z in that same lot during a test drive
